It is a rainy day.

Nashvillans freak out in rain causing massive delays on all roads.  It's just rain people.  Snow is worse.  I am glad it did not snow...people seriously abandon their cars in the middle of the road.  No common sense.  How I miss the midwest.

I start my second semester of my second Master's degree today.  Only 6 more classes after this semester which means I'll graduate in Dec 2009.  It sounds closer since it is now 2008, but still seems forever away.

I am now 29 weeks pregnant and knocking things over with my belly.  Super exciting.  Adam is making a bassinet and high chair with the wood working skills he accumulated over high school.  The projects are looking good and will be done by April.

Adam has been working on a family website.  Check it out:  http://adamr.ott.googlepages.com/home

My new job is good, not great, not bad.  I have to do a lot with spanish books, but I do not know any spanish so that is leading to wonderful mishaps.

A New Post

Well I have not updated about my life in a while, mostly because no one reads this, but on the off chance that this might reach someone, I write the following:  I am becoming a grown up.

I have my first full time job. I start Monday Nov 12.  I will be ordering books for the Vanderbilt libraries.  I am very excited.  I mean this is a real job.  I am 24 and I have not had a real job yet.  Some say its sad, I say its smart.  NO more lifeguarding!!!!!!!!

Adam and I bought a house in Antioch, TN (Its basically Nashville, its all one metro area.)  3 bedrooms, 3 baths.

We are expecting out first child in April.  It is due April 5th, but we'll see how that works out.  I am about 19 weeks now.  I have an ultrasound scheduled on Nov 20.  I am hungry and tired.  I have gained 8lbs.

Hmmm. I think that's it, but I think these are all pretty big events.

Yesterday at the YMCA, there was a guy swimming laps with a snorkel.  This is not unususal.  What was weird, was that he sneezed and coughed through the snorkel.  It made the strangest noise and it took a second to figure out what was going on.  I guess this is better than the guy who only swims with one arm and burps very loudly after every lap.  I need a new job.

Being hot makes me grumpy

It has been over 99 degrees every day for the past three weeks.  The weather forecast always puts some cooler, rain filled days at the end of the week, but when those days come the cool, rain filled days are back to the end of the forecast. We are in a 14 inch drought.   It's like a carrot on a stick that we chase.  Being a lifeguard is the most horrible profession ever when heat makes you grumpy.

I had an interview two weeks ago and I am still waiting to hear about that job.  She said I would hear by the end of the month, it's just that the end of the month is very far away when you interview at the beginning of the month.  It is the waiting that kills me.

Moving into our house went well.  We painted, moved, cleaned and cut down the jungle that was out back yard.  The dogs seem much happier in a house than an apartment.
